Visit Palatina Chapel in Palermo
Built by the will of Roger II, consecrated in 1140 as the church of the royal family, this chapel has a charm
that strikes the eye of every tourist.
Out of Gold glittering Byzantine mosaics, granite and marble cipollino beams of the nave walls with bright
paintings depicting scenes from that time of the court, hunting scenes and oriental dancers; this is the
visual impact of a masterpiece of monumental Palermitan art.

Next to the Chapel there is the Tower of Pisa, that preserve the famous room of King Roger characterized
by mosaic decoration of the twelfth century.
